There are a couple ways to get from Salento to Medellin, while there is no train, nor a local airport, you have the option of taking one of the local bus companies or using a private car service. When traveling from Salento to Medellin there is one bus company that provides direct transfers. There are a handful of buses that depart Salento throughout the day, which doesn’t allow for much flexibility, so we always recommend checking the schedule. To buy your ticket, we recommend buying in advance, or you will need to go to the bus station (Parada de Buses Salento) and go to the ticket office. The company you will be looking for is Flota Occidental, with the first bus leaving at 8:00 AM and the last bus leaving at 4:00 PM (the bus station will have the most accurate times) and the tickets cost about 11 EUR.
